The Importance of Recycling

Hi, and welcome to my website. My name’s Marcy. I have three children who keep me on my toes! This past summer, my kids and I took a tour of a recycling center. We had been having trouble getting the kids to put their recyclable items in the correct bins at home. Our city requires that we recycle. We have outdoor recycle bins. To make things easier for the adults, we made containers for inside the house too. They’re clearly marked so that even our youngest can determine what goes into them. I tried to explain the importance of recycling, hoping that would help encourage them. It didn’t work too well. However, our trip to the recycling center taught us all a great deal about the importance of sorting our garbage. I would like to share some of what we learned with you. Enjoy!
